Yelena Tsvaygenbaum, General Counsel

Background and Experience:

Yelena Tsvaygenbaum's legal background has been focused on business and commercial real estate matters, including Brownfield's development, commercial leasing, private equity transactions, and all aspects of contract drafting, review, and negotiation.  Prior to joining Cherrytree she was in private practice at Orsi Arone Rothenberg Iannuzzi & Turnerand the Transactional Law Group.

Ms. Tsvaygenbaum is a magna cum laude graduate of Bentley University, where she studied in the Honors program on a full scholarship, and is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law. While at the University of Connecticut, she was a Managing Editor of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal and a Judicial Extern for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court under the Honorable Judge Henry J. Boroff. She also served as a law clerk in the Corporate Legal Department at Liberty Mutual and the Antitrust Bureau of the New York State Office of the Attorney General. Previously, Ms. Tsvaygenbaum worked as an Internal Auditor at John Hancock.

Elizabeth Kirshenbaum – Special Counsel

Background and Experience:

Elizabeth began her legal career in New York City in 1992, where she worked in the Legal Department of the Bank of New York. At the Bank of New York, she assisted bank clients that were factoring their receivables as collateral for loans, and she was responsible for the UCC filings, security agreements, and other collateralization documents. In 1993, Elizabeth joined the in-house Legal Department of Prudential Securities, a Wall Street brokerage firm. At Prudential Securities she was responsible for matters involving the firm's compliance with an SEC mandated settlement regarding limited partnership interests sold by the firm in the 1980's. Beginning in 1996 through 2000, Elizabeth worked as a partner in the corporate/real estate boutique law firm, Kirshenbaum & Kirshenbaum, PLLC, where she handled general corporate and business matters, commercial real estate, and contractual matters.

Melina Ambrosino, Operations Manager and Tax Credit Professional

Background and Experience:

Melina N. Ambrosino is a 2010 graduate of Suffolk University where she obtained a scholarship to study Criminology of Law. Upon graduating from Suffolk University, Melina worked for a year as a Litigation Paralegal at Lustig, Glaser, and Wilson, a Waltham based collections firm.  Melina has developed an interest in Tax Issues, and she is currently completing her first year of law school at New England Law - where she will be focusing on Tax Law.

Ms. Ambrosino has been with the Cherrytree Group for over a year, and she has worked hand-in-hand with all aspects of the various Tax Credit incentive programs in Massachusetts. Her primary focus throughout the past year has been on the Massachusetts Brownfields Tax Credit program. Ms. Ambrosino has been able to help assist with the closing of many of the Twelve Brownfields Deals that Cherrytree Group has completed in the past year.

Throughout Cherrytree’s expansion, Ms. Ambrosino has dedicated herself to understanding the fundamentals of the Massachusetts Tax Credit Incentive Programs so that Cherrytree Group, LLC can continue to expand internally, as well as through its clientele.

Lillian P. Clark, Marketing Coordinator and Tax Credit Professional

Background and Experience:

Lillian recently graduated with honors from the University of Miami, where she studied psychology, marketing and entrepreneurship. She now works for the Cherrytree Group in the dynamic position of Marketing Coordinator and Tax Credit Professional. As Marketing Coordinator, Lillian works directly with our Marketing and Public Relations teams to manage the content of the Cherrytree Group’s website and social media accounts.  Since she was hired in the summer of 2012, Lillian has trained intensely under Warren Kirshenbaum learning about historical tax credits and renewable energy tax credits.  She now works closely with Warren to help clients apply for, procure, and sell these tax credits.
